Ready to serve at a higher level

 

 

Spokane Valley, WA – State Representative Leonard Christian announced he will run for the State Senate, following the recent announcement that Senator Mike Padden will not run for reelection. “Our State Senate needs proven conservative leaders who understand our community, our values, and the importance of fighting for what’s right,” said Christian.  

 

A 20-year veteran of the U.S. Airforce, who grew up in the Spokane area has a lifelong record of service to the nation and our state.  “Patriotism and public service have been the hallmarks of my entire adult life.  Representing the people of our community in Olympia in the House and now the Senate are a natural extension of this commitment.” said Christian.

 

Christian serves on the State Government & Tribal Relations, Capital Budget, Innovation, Community & Economic Development, & Veterans Committees. His legislative work has focused on Veterans issues and promoting our local economy.  

 

Leonard and his wife Rima have been married for 40 years and live in Spokane Valley, attend Sun City Church and have two children and three grandchildren. He works as a realtor.
