It’s time to promote Representative Leonard Christian to State Senator.
Representative Christian has deep roots in our community: raised in Spokane by a single parent on public assistance, graduate of Spokane Public Schools, and still married to his high school sweetheart, Rima. He joined the United States Air Force and retired as a senior non-commissioned officer after 20 years of serving and defending America.
Representative Christian knows our community and shares our values. He has a solid conservative voting record: defending gun rights, opposing higher taxes, and supporting parental rights. He fought hard to restore police pursuit, change laws to stop the flow of fentanyl, and was successful in providing capital funding for senior housing in our district. As our current Representative, he’s taken the right votes and defended us in Olympia.
As our next State Senator, we can trust Representative Christian to continue to oppose the bad ideas coming out of Seattle that threaten our community with more crime, higher taxes, failing schools, and a loss of basic freedoms. Years of service to this community, years of defending America, and years of leadership in the House prove he is our best choice for the State Senate.

ABOUT LEONARD CHRISTIANLeonard Christian currently serves as a state representative in the Washington State Legislature, representing his Fourth Legislative District constituents in Olympia. Leonard was born in Los Angeles and raised in Spokane by a single parent in an unstable household, with multiple instances of foster care. From this life experience Leonard carries compassion and sensitivity to the challenges that so many of us face… and the first-hand knowledge that with dedication and perseverance, success and fulfillment are in reach for all of us. The overriding theme of Leonard’s life has been “Commitments made, commitments kept”. Immediately after graduating Ferris High School in 1984 Leonard married his life partner Rima. And a few weeks later Leonard enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he served for more than 20 years. In 2022 Leonard’s constituents elected him to serve as representative for the Fourth Legislative District, representing residents of Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, Millwood, and the communities of Colbert, Chattaroy, Green Bluff and Newman Lake. Previously, Leonard had been appointed in 2014 to serve a partial term as Fourth District representative after the incumbent was unable to complete his term. Between legislative sessions Leonard serves home-buying families as a licensed real estate broker. Leonard continued his service to his country as a volunteer senior member of the U.S. Air Force’s civilian auxiliary organization, the Civil Air Patrol. He has served as a volunteer instructor at Moody Bible Institute in Spokane, where he has taught aircraft mechanics to students preparing for aviation roles in missionary work. And he has served and continues to serve in a variety of other volunteer positions too numerous to list. As part of his commitment to excellence in service Leonard continued his education after retiring from the Air Force, earning a bachelor’s degree in Professional Aeronautics and a graduate degree in business administration (MBA). Leonard is an FAA-licensed private pilot, FAA-licensed mechanic and is a committed member of Spokane Valley’s Sun City Church. Leonard has been an active participant in Spokane County Republicans for nearly two decades. Leonard is committed to conservative values of empowering all citizens for success, empowering government with only the powers necessary to fulfill its legitimate responsibilities, protecting personal independence, and expecting personal responsibility. Leonard votes his values – both personally, and as the people’s representative in Olympia. Leonard and Rima have been blessed with two children and three grandchildren, and they reside in Spokane Valley.
Elected Experience:Current 4th District Representative. House Assistant Ranking member, State Government & Tribal Relations. House member, Capital Budget; Innovation, Community & Economic Development & Veterans Affairs Committees. Spokane County Property Tax Board of Equalization; Regional Solid Waste Advisory Committee. Republican District Leader and Precinct Committee Officer.
Other Professional Experience:Retired Senior Non-Commissioned officer, US Air Force. Currently a real estate professional since 2005.
